Land Suitability for the Oriental Tobacco Growing in the Region of Village of Garmen

Village of Garmen is located оп Не westem slopes of the Rhodope Mountains and extends to the valley of the Mesta River. About half of its area is occupied by agricultural land. Because of the climate, relief аnd agrarian traditions, the production of oriental tobacco is the main livelihood for many farmers. The aim of study is to establish the suitability of quality sites for this сrор. Land evaluation is carried out п the Bulgarian system, but results аrе adjusted to the recommendation of the FAO. Suitability classes аrе commented.
