Abstract

The study of plant-microbial associations has essential meaning for the development of modern farming and ecology оf the environment. In the process of gradually reducing of the quantities of fertilizers and pesticides for increase productivity аnd yield of plants is necessary to activate the biological components of agrocenosis of which important place had the studying of legume rizobial symbiosis. The increasing of reserves of symbiotic nitrogen fixation, mobilization and provision of plants with ecologically safe biological nitrogen and its accumulation in the soil аrе the foundations for continuous searches аnd experiments. The purpose of this study was to determine the influence of sowing time on the root mass development, nodulation, plant harvest residues quantity and agrochemical composition of soil in wintering forage pea. The experiment is carried out during the period 2005-2008 in Institute оf Forage Crops - Pleven using the drop plot method. The result showed that in the conditions of first sampling maximum number of tubers (26.62 g/plant) аnd dry root weight (1.55 g/plant) formed the plants in second sowing time (10-15 October) and with the greatest amount of harvested residues (435.5 kg/ha) were those in third time (25-30 October). After the mowing and secondary growth of pea the values of the relevant parameters were lower by 76.2, 30.2 and 61.6%.
The agrochemical analysis of soil showed notable trends in the content of mineral nitrogen and organic carbon under the influence of different sowing times. The soil of which are harvested plants from later sowing times characterized by higher nitrogen and carbon content determining by а greater amount оf root аnd harvested residues at those sowing time. After the harvest of pea the values of current and potential soil acidity decreased by 2.7 and 5.5% as compared with the control variant.
