Georgia and Bulgaria are characterized by more or less similar physical-geographical conditions and soils. Soils of Georgia and Bulgaria may be depend on the three groups. First - with the absolutely similar soils - brown forest and mountain meadow. Such soils distribute in south Bulgaria and in West and East Georgia between 1000 - 3500 meter. Second group - more or less identical. In this group may include south part of Stara Planina (Bulgaria) with cinnamonic (Cambisols Chromic)and black (Vertisols) soils. Such soils are distribute in East Georgia (500-800 m). In Bulgaria in Dunai lowland there аrе distributed chernozems аnd grey podzolic soils. In Georgia ме also have chernozems (in south part of Georgia - altitude between 1200-2000 m from sea level), but have not grey soils. Third group - soils, which we have only in Georgia - in Humid subtropics (West Georgia) - red (Nitisols Ferralic), yellow (Acrisols Haplic), yellow-brown forest (Acrisols Haplic), and yellow-podzolic soils (Luvisols Albic); in Dry subtropics (East Georgia) - grey-cinnamonic soils (Cambisols Chromic).
