Determining the Level of Nitrogen Fertilization during Two-Cut Harvesting of Winter Triticale-Pea Mixture for Forage Production
Keywords:

The influence of nitrogen fertilization on the productivity of forage апа crude protein of winter pea-triticale mixture during two-cut harvesting crops was studied. The experiment was conducted with winter forage pea variety “Mir” and triticale variety “Vihren”. It was found that the total yield (first + second cut) of dry mass and crude protein is highest in mixtures with levels of nitrogen fertilization N6 and N8. They exceed the yield оf dry matter without fertilization mixture by 16.39% and 13.83%, respectively and yield of crude protein by 28.56% and 30.12%. During the two-cut harvesting pea-triticale mixtures fertilized with N8 and N6 provides а higher yield of dry mass by 14.2% to 17.8% and crude protein by 9.61% to 10.08%, as compared to the control harvesting only once.
