About the Journal

Bulgarian Journal of Agricultural Science (BJAS) is a peer-reviewed, open access, online and print journal, issued bimonthly. The journal has been published since 1995. The journal is administrated by an international Editorial board and its Editor-in-Chief is Prof. Dsn. Eng. Martin Banov.

Aims & Scope

The journal publishes original research papers, review articles and brief reports, aimed to cover the following topics: Agricultural Economics and Management; Agroecology; Agrochemisty and Soil Science; Plant Science; Plant Genetics; Plant Protection; Animal Science; Animal Genetics; Veterinary Medicine; Fisheries and Aquaculture; Food Science and Technologies; Agricultural Engineering; Agricultural Technologies.

Open access policy

The Journal is with open access, that means its content is available without charge for the user or his institution. The users can read, download, copy, disseminate, print, search or make a link to full texts of articles, or use them for another legal goals, without asking for additional approval by publisher or author.

Fees

There is fee for publishing manuscripts. The fee for all manuscripts accepted for publication is € 250.

There is an annual subscription fee for the paper version of the journal in the amount of € 73,62.

License terms

Effective September 1, 2026, аll articles are available under the conditions of Creative Commons CC BY 4.0.

After publication of the manuscript, the owner of the exclusive rights to use the work is the Agricultural Academy.

Repository Policy

The publisher hereby permits authors to deposit any version of their work in an institutional, national, or other digital repository of their choice with no embargo period, provided that it is shared under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC-BY) license and includes a persistent link to the published article and/or its DOI.
