MODIFIED METHOD FOR LONG-TERM STORAGE OF LIVE TAENIID EGGS IN LIQUID CULTURE

The aim of the experimental work was the development and studying of a new modification of the established in the parasitological practice method for preparation and storage of taeniid eggs in liquid culture.
For model in experiments were used the eggs of the parasite Taenia hydatigena. Results for the morphology and viability of the eggs of the tapeworm for 2 years period have been received. Infectivity of eggs from culture has been studied on typical intermediate hosts sheep and pigs.
The developed modified method for the preparation and long term storage of live taeniid eggs in liquid culture can be used in the parasitological practice for experimental and diagnostic purposes.
