The article shows the impact of climatic conditions in 2023-2024, on the condition of a walnut forest orchard in the Moscow region. The object of the study is a collection orchard of four varieties of nut trees: walnut (Juglans regia) variety Belorussky Grozd, walnut (Juglans regia) variety Kocherzhenko, Siebold walnut (Juglans sieboldiana Max., syn. J. ailantifolia Carr.), heart-shaped walnut (Juglans ailantifolia var. cordiformis Max). The condition of walnut stems and winter damage to walnut seedlings were determined with abundant precipitation and maximum snow cover in the winter of 2023-2024. Frost resistance and winter hardiness of the walnut forest orchard in the Moscow region were established.
