Abstract

The National collection of beans contents more than 2500 accessions with local and foreign origin. Field experiment with 30 accessions of common beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) with local and foreign origin was carried out during three years from 2021 to 2023 at the Institute of plant genetic resources. Genotypes with different agro-biological traits of plant development were observed. Morphological characterizations of vegetative and reproductive organs of the plants were studied, as well as qualitative traits of seeds, as shape, color and size. Weight of the whole plant, number and weight of pods and seeds per one plant, as the weight of 100 seeds were established. The collected data were analyzed by the statistical program SPSS. Based on the studied characters the genotypes were grouped in three different clusters, as phenological phases, earliness, plant habit, number and weight of pods and seeds, qualitative traits of seeds.
