Keywords:
dry matter yield; semi-sugar fodder beet hybrids; sugar beet hybrids; sugar contentAbstract
Economic qualities of new sugar beet and semi-sugar beet hybrids are tested in 2015 and 2016 in Agricultural Institute of Shumen. The traits: root yield, sugar content, dry matter content, sugar yield and dry matter yield are evaluated. The tested hybrids possess potential for sugar yield of over 550 kg/da. The highest yield is obtained by semi-sugar beet hybrid МС 6634х6VR - 783 kg/da.
