Abstract

The aim of the study was to generate information on interrelationships of some important productivity elements, direct and indirect effects of these characters on yield of spring barley accessions from European-Siberian genetic center. The study was conducted in the IPGR - Sadovo, during the period 2012-2014 and included 26 spring barley accessions from the European-Siberian genetic center. In all studied barley accessions, statistically proven strong correlation dependencies (r=0.674-0.977) were found between yield and productive tillers per plant, grain mass per spike and grain mass per plant, number of grains per spike and height of the plants. The path-coefficient analysis shows that the traits productive tillers per plant and grain mass per spike have the highest direct effect on yield.
