Abstract

The aim of the present study is to establish a relationship between the fat-to-protein ratio, milk productivity and parameters characterizing the coagulation ability of milk in cows of the Black-and-White breed. A control day model was used, in which each daily milk control was considered as a separate observation. The values of the fat-to-protein ratio increase soon after calving and reach a peak by 120 days of lactation (1.27), after which they slowly decrease in the middle and towards the end of lactation. At the most optimal values of the fat-to-protein ratio– 1.27, the highest daily milk yield was recorded in the period from 61 to 120 days of lactation of the animals - 30.74 kg. On all the studied traits, the influence of the farm factor is highly evident (p<0.001). A highly significant influence (p<0.001) of the lactation days factor and a significant influence (p<0.01) of the age at first calving factor were found on the traits milk yield, protein content and rennet coagulation time. The data were processed with the software products PEST (Groeneveld et al., 1990), Systat 13, and the graphical processing of the data was performed using Excel.
