Abstract

The results of the research in the field of health infrastructure and school network are presented, which are one of the priority areas of the National Strategy for Regional Development (2012–2020). Their condition is analyzed on the basis of selected indicators – doctors, hospital beds, teachers and schools. The method of the
Regional Factor Shift Analysis (RFSA) is applied, through which the degree and direction of changes in the health and educational infrastructure in the rural areas of Bulgaria in the period 2008–2020 is traced. Based on the analysis, summarized conclusions are presented and trends.
